Now your next question will be can an Airplane go above this height. The answer is yes as well as no. This is because in the majority of airplanes there are jet propeller engines with help of which an Airplane flies. Jet Propellers use oxygen to produce energy which makes Airplane fly at a height of 45,000 to 50,000 feet.

When Airplane reaches this much of height then Atmospheric layers get thinner and thinner. Thin atmosphere means Less Density, less density means fewer air particles, Fewer air particles means less oxygen. Now you Should have got the answer to your Question.

If any plane tries to fly at this much of Height then that plane will not be able to Fly because till now we are unable to design Commercial Airplane engines of these type that can carry Airplanes to this much of height safely or even this happen then that plane will come down due to gravitation force because of which any commercial company doesn't design this type of plane but ISRO and NASA are different than these commercial companies because they give more importance to the invention and Discovery because of which NASA has already has made an Airplane that can fly up to 95,000 feet.

They call this Plane "SPACEPLANE"

A SpacePlane is an aerospace vehicle that can fly/glide like an aircraft in Earth's atmosphere and maneuver like a spacecraft in the vacuum of space. To do so, SpacePlanes must incorporate features of both aircraft and spacecraft, occupying an intermediate space between the two.
